The need for outreach exists nowhere more than among youth -
particularly on the college campus. While young men and women form
their basic outlook on life, begin to map their future and become
involved in and exposed to the entire marketplace of ideas, it is most
essential that their Jewish identity be reinforced.
Often
working with other student groups - in Washington and across the
country - including the National Capital Leadership Retreat for student
leaders, this program has reached and inspires thousands of students,
helping them make informed decisions as Jews and reinforcing their
sense of pride in their Jewish heritage.
American
Friends of Lubavitch is also the sponsor of ChabadGW – a vibrant and
rapidly growing hub of outreach for thousands of Jewish students, which
has taken its outreach to new heights at The George Washington
University. In addition, it serves as a valuable resource and support
group for Jewish students at The Georgetown University and The American
University.
