This initiative of the Washington Office has developed very quickly into a large network of prominent Jewish professional women in Washington.

Special events are held several times a year, with intermittent smaller functions, to enable Jewish women from a literal cross section of the community to connect with their Jewish heritage and to each other in a meaningful way.

These informative and elegant programs, featuring top rate speakers and presenters, are so important in light of the unique pressures and challenges facing successful professional Jewish women of today in their efforts to maintain the core of Jewish identity for tomorrow.

It is only through coming together in a common purpose that people of different backgrounds and affiliations can discover what transcends divisions. This is the goal of Aura.

Ima and Me is another popular AURA program which brings working moms and their infants together weekly to learn Jewish themes and songs, thus helping these future leaders soak up their Jewish heritage in the first months of their lives.
