In addition to serving as the representative office of the international Chabad-Lubavitch movement, the Washington Office offers interesting and inspiring programs to Jewish people of all backgrounds and affiliations.

 
Among the most widely recognized programs of the Washington Office the Capitol Jewish Forum, which is now the largest Jewish (non-political) group on Capitol Hill.
 
With over 3000 affiliated centers across the country and around the world, requests for assistance from the Washington Office arrive in a steady stream, often urgent in nature.

  One of the more prominent activities of the Washington Office is the annual lighting ceremony of the National Chanukah Menorah, on the Ellipse, just across from the White House.
